New Visitor Policy!!!

Parents...Geneva Elementary is now implementing the new SCPS campus visitor policy.

This is a new policy and procedure that the school district has put into place at all schools and county offices.  Student, school, and staff safety is their utmost priority.   Upon entering our campus. please present your photo ID to our office secretary and she will scan it and present you with a visitor badge.  When you are leaving for the day, please turn in your visitor sticker to her so we can check you out in our system.  No visitor will be allowed onto our campus without a proper visitor badge.

Dividends...if you are coming onto campus as a “dividend”, (volunteering in a classroom, or going on a field trip,)  for the time being, please check in at the front office Dividend computer as you always have.  This new system has not been set up for Dividend personnel and hours as of yet.  It will start, though, at the beginning of next school year.

If you  have any questions, please contact our office.

Climate Survey Is Here!

This is a reminder that the 2017 Florida 5E Climate Parent Survey is open as of Jan. 24, 2017. The survey window will close on Feb. 24, 2017.

Link for parents to take the survey: http://survey.5-essentials.org/florida/survey/parent/

Thank you in advance for your participation.

Severe Rainy Day Dismissal

During major rain, lightning, wind, and thunder, we may have to delay the dismissal of our Geneva students to ensure their safety.

In that event, then we would house the Bus Riders in the Media Center & load them on to the bus straight from the front office.

Car riders would be housed inside the music room and dismissed only 4 at a time on numbers 6, 7, 8, and 9.  This will also keep our staff member (who announces names) dry and safe.

Walkers and biker riders would be held in the Reading Room, which is building 15 near the Clinic.  We then would contact parents and  transition the students to car riders or at least wait out the severe weather.

Teacher/Employee of the Year!

We want to say a big CONGRATULATIONS to our 2016-17 Teacher and Employee of the year!

Lisa Davidson, our awesome 3rd grade teacher, was nominated by her peers as our Teacher of the Year!
Ms. Davidson has been teaching for many years, in both Orange and Seminole Counties.  Both of her children went to Geneva and she is also very active in our community.  We are so lucky to have her with us.

Linda Lopez, our phenomenal Reading Paraprofessional, is our Employee of the Year!  She has been on our campus for 5 years, helping in our front office, lunchroom and in our Reading program.  She is an awesome Mustang!

When you see these folks around, give them a big shout out!  We are so proud of them!
