We Are An "A" School!

Geneva Elementary is back on Victory Road!  We are an "A" school once again!  Our teachers and students really worked hard this year and it shows! Congratulations to every single Mustang!  You Rock!

Hurricane Irma Update

Parents, due to the impending arrival and aftermath assessments of Hurricane Irma, Geneva Elementary and all SCPS offices will be CLOSED on Monday-Friday, September 11-15, 2017.  Lawton Chiles Middle School and Midway Elementary School will be evacuation shelters that are the closest to our community.  For more information, please visit the SCPS website or watch the local news channels.  Please be safe!

New Visitor Policy!!!

Parents...Geneva Elementary is now implementing the new SCPS campus visitor policy.

This is a new policy and procedure that the school district has put into place at all schools and county offices.  Student, school, and staff safety is their utmost priority.   Upon entering our campus. please present your photo ID to our office secretary and she will scan it and present you with a visitor badge.  When you are leaving for the day, please turn in your visitor sticker to her so we can check you out in our system.  No visitor will be allowed onto our campus without a proper visitor badge.

Dividends...if you are coming onto campus as a “dividend”, (volunteering in a classroom, or going on a field trip,)  for the time being, please check in at the front office Dividend computer as you always have.  This new system has not been set up for Dividend personnel and hours as of yet.  It will start, though, at the beginning of next school year.

If you  have any questions, please contact our office.

Severe Rainy Day Dismissal

During major rain, lightning, wind, and thunder, we may have to delay the dismissal of our Geneva students to ensure their safety.

In that event, then we would house the Bus Riders in the Media Center & load them on to the bus straight from the front office.

Car riders would be housed inside the music room and dismissed only 4 at a time on numbers 6, 7, 8, and 9.  This will also keep our staff member (who announces names) dry and safe.

Walkers and biker riders would be held in the Music Room, which is building 02 near the Clinic.  We then would contact parents and  transition the students to car riders or at least wait out the severe weather.

A.M. Walker Procedures

Morning supervision does not start until 8:05 am every day.  Walkers and bike riders MUST enter the walking gate by our basketball court at that time.  Please do not escort students down along our car line ramp.  We want to keep all of our students safe.  Thank you.

2017-18 Afternoon Car Line Procedures

Parents...Below is our afternoon car line map and procedures.  Please make note of these guidelines.  Our car line pick up begins at 3:00pm (2:00pm on Wednesday's) and we typically have all children in their cars in about 20 minutes.  Our car rider hang tags will be given out on the first day of school.  Any concerns, please contact our school office.

2017-18 Classroom Placements!

Due to all of the evolving dynamics of creating the master schedule and placing students into grade level classrooms for next year, we again are unable to accept specific teacher requests for the next school year.  However, we will still consider letters from parents which describe the type of classroom environment and teacher personality that they feel will help their child be most successful.

The last day to send these letters in to Administration will be May 26th.

Please note that there are no guarantees for specific teacher placements.
