Geneva Elementary School Advisory Council (S.A.C)
The Geneva Elementary SAC committee consists of 22
individuals. They are comprised of a panel of school administration,
school instructional personnel, non-instructional personnel, and
parents/community members.
The SAC committee serves in an advisory capacity to the principal and
assists in the development and evaluation of the school improvement
plan. The SAC committee also is allotted a budget pursuant to
Florida Statutes and determines how the those funds will be spent.
Items purchased in the past include computer software, training materials,
reading kits, and classroom technology. All purchases support the
School Improvement Plan.
All meetings are open to the public. The SAC committee meets the last Tuesday of the month at 3:30pm in our school media center.
At the March meeting the committee voted to renew the computer program, Study Island. This program is used by our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders in the areas of reading, math, and science. At the end of this school year, along with the PTA, the committee also voted to renew another popular program, V-Math. This program helps all students with their math skills. They can play games, challenge other students, locally and in other countries. Students can access these site from home also. They love it.
